All virtuals sites must have a properly registered Domain name and DNS must be configured the site prior to it working via a URL in a browser window. If you need a domain name, we offer low cost domain name registrations through Http://www.fmwebhost.com. Your welcome letter includes instructions on how to add a virtual site to a test location on your sever prior to making it "live" on the Internet.
For MacOSX running Apache with Webmin or iTools:
Login to your administrative interface - the link was included in your welcome email.
From there you will see the Virtual hosts tab, add the new virtual site.
For Mac OSX running Apache:
Open Server Admin, connect to server, click on Web, click on Settings, add virtual site.
For Mac OS or OSX running WebSTAR, virtual hosts are defined through the WebSTAR admin client. You can run the client either from the desktop of your dedicated server or you can download the client to your local machine and run it from there.
